Creating a Door or Frame Request for Quote Using the Advantage Reports Tool

*Note: The legacy Submittal and Advantage Reports tool will be obsolete by March 2022. We recommend Setting Up the New Submittal & Advantage Reports Tool as soon as possible and familiarizing yourself with the interface and usage.

How to: Create a door or frame RFQ (request for quote) using the New Submittal & Advantage Reports tool.

Environment: Comsense Advantage (Version 21.1.100.094 and later)

Accessing Reports

Advantage > Estimating/Detailing > Reports

Selecting the Quote Request Type

In the Report window, Open your project and Select the appropriate RFQ report in the Available Reports pane. The Report Parameters pane will populate.

Accessing the RFQ List

In the Report Parameters pane, Click ... in the Quote Number Value field and the Request for Quote window will open.

Adding a New RFQ

In the Request for Quote window:

  1. Click Add Request for Quote

  1. Select the supplier
  2. Click Open

In the Opening Picker window:

  1. Select the openings Using the Selection Tool
  2. Click OK

  2. Click OK

Selecting the Request for Quote for the Report

In the Request for Quote window:

  1. Select the RFQ line item
  2. Click OK
