New Features

New Reporting Engine for Door-Frame Submittal & Complete Opening Detail Report

This update migrates the Door-Frame Submittal and Complete Opening Detail Report to the new Advantage Report Engine.

As part of this update, we have removed the old door-frame reports and replaced them with a parameter that allows you to choose the desired submittal layout.

Additionally, we have introduced a new feature that enables the generation of Door-Frame Submittals for specific change orders, including contemplated change orders. By selecting a change order, the Door-Frame Submittal report will now only include the openings associated with that change order.

The Complete Opening Detail report has also undergone the same treatment, offering a more streamlined and efficient reporting experience.

The following table indicates which layout replaces each of the old reports.

Important Note: Action Required for Existing Submittal Templates

It is important to understand that this update does not automatically add the new door-frame report to existing submittal templates.

To ensure your submittal templates remain up to date and aligned with the latest changes, it is crucial to review and modify your existing templates. Please take the time to add the new door-frame report to your templates manually. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this necessary step, but we believe it is essential to maintain the integrity and accuracy of your submittal templates in light of these updates.

Note: This change represents the last milestone in our project to deprecate the old Advantage reporting engine. As such, we are announcing the End of Life date for the old Advantage reporting engine is December 4th, 2023.

Discount Window: Reset Discounts and Special Nets Tool

In the Discount window, a new tool called "Reset Discounts and Special Nets" has been added. This tool enables users to clear discounts and special net pricing applied at the product/option level. Please note that only the items listed in the filtered view of the table will be reset when using this tool.

Enhancements

• We have introduced a new Notes Dialog in the Pricing window that allows users to edit Section Notes conveniently. For more details about Section Notes, please refer to this article: Bid Proposal Report Parameters
• We have modified the Image Selection window in Advantage to include images that are selected but have been deactivated by a Catalog Image Update.

Bug Fixes

Installation Operations:

• Resolved an issue where installation operations pricing was missing from the Miscellaneous Cost tab.
• Fixed an issue causing Miscellaneous Items created by Installation Operations to list openings marked as IBO.

Hardware Submittals:

• Addressed errors in the Hardware Schedule when a heading had used lowercase characters.

Imports:

• Corrected an issue with the Allegion Overtur Import caused by invalid characters in the exported file.
• Fixed an issue that allowed catalog imports to proceed even when the Manufacturer did not exist in the system.

Estimating:

• Fixed an issue that prevented the sale of an Estimate project when Miscellaneous Costs were marked as Tax Exempt.

Project Setup:

• Resolved an issue that allowed users to select a Warehouse for a project not belonging to the same Division.
• Fixed an issue where projects could be set to Completed even when there was still product in Material Storage.
• Resolved DataWindow Error when creating a new Detailing project in Advantage. (Known Issue from Version 23.2.100.153)

Discounts Window:

• Adjusted the maximum character length of filter fields in the Discounts window to ensure proper functionality.
• Fixed an issue that prevented the Replace function from working in the Discounts window.
• Addressed an issue causing Special Options Discounts to be excluded from the Discount Export files.

Complete Window:

• Resolved an issue preventing the opening of Notes dialogs in the Complete window when the project was in Read-Only mode.
• Fixed a bug that caused reverse-handed openings to duplicate some handed products.
• Addressed an issue where Product Notes were not being applied to all openings in the Heading.

Hardware Window:

• Fixed an issue in the Opening Tab of the Hardware window, ensuring proper synchronization of opening information across other windows.
• Resolved an issue in the Opening Tab that prevented the saving of Fire Rating, Architect Door Type, and Architect Frame Type.
