New Features

This quarter we are releasing the first version of our new Quote Request engine. The new quote request engine will enable us to add more customization options to quote requests. With this release we have included a new Wood Door Request for Quote report.

Enhancements

Show/Hide 0-Quantity Hardware

Added a function that allows users to hide hardware items with a quantity of 0 in the complete window. See Article: Show/Hide 0-Quantity Hardware

Replace with New/Modified

Added Replace with New, and Replace with Modified for hardware items. These functions streamline the use of the product change wizard to simplify global hardware changes in projects, including change orders. With this we also, rearranged the right-click menu in the Complete window to group like functions together.

Project Invoicing

The invoice wizard and invoice window now include the purchase order and job number from the project/sales order. Change order approval numbers are now shown when invoicing projects.

Bid Management

To assist with bid tracking, we have added a new workflow to handle sections that are not awarded when selling projects. The system now requires a status for sections that are not awarded. When a 'lost' status is selected the system will allow the user to mark all items in that section as By Others.

Project Retainage

Added a new function to apply the retainage percentage to all sections in the project.

Autocomplete Opening Info

Added a new user preference option to enable/disable autocomplete in the complete window. This controls the autocomplete function on the Location, Building Area, and Phase fields.

Bug Fixes

Enterprise

• Corrected an issue with sales order transaction keys. Purchase order numbers generated for sales orders now include the proper padding when using transaction keys.
• Corrected an issue with orders management. Restored the performance when loading large numbers of orders into orders management.

Elevations:

• Corrected a filter issue in the frame takeoff window. Launching the elevation costing tool from the frame takeoff window with a filter applied will no longer cause Advantage to crash.
• Corrected an issue with frame elevations. The system should no longer get stuck in an error loop when creating a new elevation with an elevation code that is already used.
• Corrected an issue with elevation costing. Elevation costing will no longer build elevations from invalid components.

Pricing

• Corrected an issue with tax-exempt status. Taxes will now automatically be marked change order default exempt when marked exempt on the base project.
• Corrected an issue with the project tax management tool. The tool will no longer throw an error when removing the exempt flag from a tax on a change order with no sell price.
• Corrected an issue with 'find by opening' in component pricing. Searching for openings now works correctly for all products and openings. Search will now also highlight products from the opening that are deducted on change orders.
• Corrected an issue with price protection on sold estimates. Opening pricing for a sold estimate will no longer trigger the door & frame price protection tool.
• Corrected an issue with door & frame price protection. The price protection function will now trigger correctly when a project has doors or frames that are not validated.

Imports

• Corrected an issue in the hardware set importer. The importer no longer throws an error if there are hardware items that are not mapped.
• Corrected an issue with the discount exporter/importer. The discount export/import tools will no longer include deactivated catalog items.
• Corrected an issue with the hardware catalog importer. The importer will no longer create a unique catalog-based product for each finish.
• Corrected an issue with the hardware catalog importer. The catalog importer now converts catalog numbers to uppercase when imported.

Reports

• Corrected an issue with the hardware schedule report. Headings will no longer show 0 for hardware items when opening quantities differ.

Miscellaneous

• Corrected an issue in division maintenance. Creating new divisions will now always allow users to copy the division settings from another division.
• Corrected a filter issue in the catalog maintenance windows. The filters will only show manufacturer codes with the appropriate catalog type.
• Corrected an issue with prep kits. Deleting prep kits will no longer throw a database error.
• Corrected an issue with the default trim selection for exit devices. The system will automatically select the default trim specified by the Manufacturer's nomenclature.
• Corrected an issue with the hardware set and heading number fields. The software will now provide a warning message when the number entered is too many characters.
