How to: Create a submittal using the new Submittal & Advantage Reports tool.

Creating a Submittal
The Submittal and Advantage Reports tool allows you to select specific reports for your submittal. The Submittal window lists all available reports in the Available Reports pane. Admins determine which reports are available in the Report Management window. When adding reports, you can only select a maximum of one report per heading.
Adding the Submittal & Reports
In the Available Reports pane, Click Add on all required report line items.
The report line item will move to the Selected Reports pane.
Sorting the Selected Reports
The reports in your submittal are listed in the order you add them. To change the sort order, Drag & Drop the reports using the Select button on the report line item.
Removing Reports
*Note: Any time you remove a report from the Selected Reports pane, any set parameters will be lost.
If you need to remove a report from the submittal, Click Remove on the report line item.
Setting Report Parameters
The new Submittal & Advantage Reports tool allows you to set report parameters within the Submittal window. Reports with customizable parameters have:
- + button
- Expands the parameter list
- - button
- Minimizes the parameters list
Updating the Parameter Values
In the Selected Reports pane, Click + on the report line item and set the parameters in the Value field.
Sorting the Report Information
The sort by column is the first line item listed in the Sort pane. The values in the sort by column are sorted alphabetically e.g. if the first column is MFG, the report will sort the list by manufacturer in alphabetical order. If there are no sortable values, the Sort pane remains blank.
Setting the Sort By Column
In the Sort pane, Drag & Drop the sort column line item using the Select button.
Setting the Sort Order
The values within the sort by column are listed in ascending order (A-Z) by default. To sort in descending order (Z-A), uncheck the Ascending checkbox.
Formatting the Submittal
*Note: All Door Frame Submittal reports are landscape orientation.
The submittal formatting options are in the Page Layout & Options pane of the submittal window. The submittal formatting includes:
- Page size, layout, and orientation
- Header styles
- Cover page templates
- Save format
Submittal formatting applies to all of the reports in your submittal except for reports that are pre-formatted or have specific page sizes such as:
- Diagrams
- Door Frame Submittal - 8.5 x 11
- Door Frame Submittal - 8.5 x 14
- Door Frame Submittal - 8.5 x 14 Version 2
- Elevations
- Hardware Preamble
- Door-Frame Preamble
In the Page Layout & Options pane, Select your submittal formatting options.
Exporting the Submittal
In the top tool bar, Select your preferred export method e.g. Preview, Quick Print, Email etc.
Creating a Submittal Using a Submittal Template
Submittal templates are a curated list of reports and preset formatting for the submittal. A user with permissions define submittal templates in the Report Management window. We recommend creating templates for your most commonly used submittal reports.
To use a template for your submittal, Click Template and Select the appropriate template from the drop-down list.
You can make any one time modifications to the template using the steps in Creating a Submittal.
