How to: Use the Cash Drawer Maintenance window.
Purpose: To create new cash drawers, delete cash drawers, or make a cash drawer inactive.

Accessing Cash Drawer Maintenance
Enterprise > System Options > Cash Drawer Maintenance
Creating a Cash Drawer
When creating cash drawers we do not recommend:
- Reassigning cash drawers to different bank accounts
- Naming the cash drawers with employee names
Always create a new cash drawer when you require a new one for a specific bank account. Any cash drawers that are no longer needed should be deleted or made inactive.
In the fillable line item:
- Select the division
- Enter the name of the cash drawer
- E.g. Cash Drawer 1 USD
- Select the associated bank account
- Click Save
The selected bank account now has a new cash drawer.
Deleting a Cash Drawer
You cannot delete a cash drawer after it has been used. If the cash drawer has been used but not be available anymore, Make the Cash Drawer Inactive.
In the Cash Drawer Maintenace window:
- Right-click on the cash drawer line item
- Click Delete Cash Drawer
- Click Save
The cash drawer is now deleted.
Making a Cash Drawer Inactive
Make a cash drawer inactive when it should no longer be used.
In the Cash Drawer Maintenance toolbar:
- Select the cash drawer line item
- Click Make Inactive
- Click Save
The cash drawer is now inactive
Making a Cash Drawer Active
In the Cash Drawer Maintenance toolbar:
- Select the cash drawer line item
- Click Make Active
- Click Save
The cash drawer is now active.
