Defining COGS & Hits Ranks

COGS: Cost of goods sold.

COGS Rank: The trend of COGS over 12 months.

Hits: The number of times a product is requisitioned in a specific period of time. Comsense allocates one hit per stock requisition rather than one hit for every item requisitioned.

Hits Rank: Trend of hits over 12 months.

You can find COGS and Hits data in the Managed Product Management window.

Calculating Ranks

Comsense ranks products using COGS and hits over the last 12 months. Products rank relative to all other requisitioned products. Both COGS and hits rank using A, B, C, D, X, with A as the highest rank and X as the lowest.

Reviewing the COGS & Hits Rank Columns

COGS and Hits ranks are the trends over 12 months. For your buying decisions, only analyze product data with 6-12 active months. Data with less than 6 active months is not a complete enough representation of trends to base your buying decisions on.

Review the # Months Active column before reviewing the COGS & Hits Rank columns to get a better understanding of the rank.
