Creating a New Change Order
Create a New Change Order for your project.
Duplicating the Two-Leaf Opening
The door leaves on a two-leaf opening exist synchronously in the system. This means that both doors show in the pricing window when selling a change order and if one door is set to By Others, the other door is also set to By Others by default. To replace one door, you must create a new opening by duplicating the two-leaf opening.
In the change order window:
- Enter a new opening reference number
- Press Tab
In the Duplicate Opening window:
- Enter the opening number of the two-leaf opening
- Click OK
Updating the Opening
Heading Number
All openings under the same heading must meet the grouping criteria for the heading. Updating an opening may disqualify the opening from the heading. When an opening is no longer in the heading number, it loses opening specific detailing. If the heading for the opening includes Opening Type as a grouping, you must add a delimiter to the heading number to not lose the opening specific detailing.
In the Heading No. field, Add a delimiter to the heading number e.g. Update 010 to 010.1.
Opening Type
For the system to disregard one of the door leaves, you must update the opening type to Single.
In the Open Type field drop-down list:
- Select Single
In the Warning - Opening Size/Type dialog box:
- Click Continue with Processing
In the Synchronizing Opening Information dialog box:
- Click No
Frame & Hardware
To prevent duplicates of frame and hardware, Update the unrequired frame and hardware to By Others.
Before Selling the Change Order
Before you sell the change order, Review the preps on the door leaf.
