About Report Parameters

Report parameters customize the report format and certain text fields such as header notes and footer notes. Comsense's default report settings streamline report parameters but still maintain flexibility.

Default report settings auto-populate the report parameter fields in the Reports window. You can set or update default report settings in the Report Management window under the report settings. Any reports in a submittal use the report defaults from the Report Management window. You do not need to use the preset report defaults on each report you generate. You can update the pre-populated fields at the time of report generation.

Hardware Schedule Report Parameter Descriptions

Parameter	Description	Field Type
Change Order	Defines the change orders included in the report. *Note: Order 0 includes all sold change orders.	Search Field
Openings	Defines the openings included in the report. *Note: The report includes all openings if you select none.	Search Field
Heading Format	Defines if the hardware set number is included in the report. Includes the option to page break after each hardware heading.	Drop-down List
Phase and Building Area Group By Format	Groups hardware headings by phase and/or building area. Includes the option to page break after each group.	Drop-down List
Opening Group By Format	Groups a heading's openings by phase, building area, and/or opening description. Includes the option to page break after each group.	Drop-down List
Opening Format	Defines which opening details are printed in the report. *Note: If you select None, the door descriptions, frame descriptions, and opening descriptions do not populate.	Drop-down List
Door Description Format	Includes the door description under the opening details. *Note: The prefix is "Door:"	Drop-down List
Frame Description Format	Includes the frame description under the door description. *Note: The prefix is "Frame:"	Drop-down List
Opening Description Format	Includes the opening descriptions under the frame description. *Note: The prefix is "Opening Description:"	Drop-down List
Product Format	Defines which product details are included in the report.	Drop-down List
Show Qty & Openings when Applicable	Shows the number of hardware pieces used on each opening when openings under the same heading use a different number of hardware pieces.	Checkbox
Show Image References	Shows the image names associated with the hardware products.	Checkbox
Show Diagram References	Shows diagram reference numbers from the diagrams associated with the hardware heading.	Checkbox
Show Properties	Shows hardware product properties from the Property Value field entered the Hardware window or in a change order. *Note: Most hardware products do not have properties.	Checkbox
Show Headings with no Openings	Shows hardware headings with no openings assigned.	Checkbox
Show Detail Divider Line	Shows a divider line between the heading details and the hardware list.	Checkbox
